QuizMaker Sample Page
These sample tests have been created with the QuizMaker Test Author and demonstrate
two ways to make and publish tests using Personal Web Site.
Creating a simple test
Step 1: first create a new subdirectory for your tests.
Step 2: create a default page for this directory to list the tests and upload it to the directory.
Step 3: run QuizMaker to create a test from the form input data.
Step 4: save the generated HTML file on your computer and make any editing changes you want.
Step 5: upload the file to your quizzes directory.
Step 6: make a link to the file from your default page (see below).

How to create a multiple choice quiz using a reading text
Steps 1 - 2 as above if you have not already done this.
Step 3: select the quiz with reading text option to run QuizMaker. The
procedure is identical to creating a standalone quiz except that you will
paste or type a text into the form as well as entering your questions and multiple choice options.
Step 4: after running QuizMaker it will generate 3 files for you, each of which you must save on your PC. the first of these files is the frame page, which loads and contains references to the two content pages. You must save the frame and give it a name of your own choosing. The content page in the top frame should be saved using the same name created by QuizMaker, and the same for the questions page in the lower frame. These are the same file names written into the frames page.
Step 5: after you have saved the 3 pages onto your PC you can upload each one to your quizzes directory.
Step 6: make a link to the frame file from your default page (see below).
Multiple choice reading comprehension using frames
The sample uses the following pages:
- sampleFrame.htm - this is frameset generated by QuizMaker which holds the following two pages
- Main32297.htm - this is the main reading text created by the QuizMaker Author program and is loaded into the frame called "text"
- quiz32297.htm - this is the questions page created by the QuizMaker Author program and is loaded into the frame called "quiz".
