ClozeMaker Sample Page
These sample tests have been created with the ClozeMaker Test Author and demonstrate
two ways to make and publish tests using Personal Web Site. This procedure is the same for tests created with the JavaScript Wizard or the VLC server version.
Creating a simple test
Step 1: first create a new subdirectory for your tests.
Step 2: create a default page for this directory to list the tests and upload it to the directory.
Step 3: run ClozeMaker to create a test from the form input data.
Step 4: save the generated HTML file on your computer and make any editing changes you want.
Step 5: upload the file to your tests directory.
Step 6: make a link to the file from your default page (same as below).

How to create a test using frames
Steps 1 - 5 as above if you have not already done this.
Step 6: create a frame to hold your new test file and the file "lookup.htm" which is in the VLC root directory. You can also upload your own copy of this file to your directory.
To create your own frame file simply make a copy of the frame used in the example below by using the browser "Save As" command in the File menu.
Step 7: edit the frame file to load your own test file, and upload it to your test directory.
Step 8: make a link to the frame file from your default page.
Sample Test 2 using frames
The sample uses the following pages:
- TestFrame1.htm - this is frameset which holds the following two pages
- Test2.htm - this is the test created by the ClozeMaker Author program and is loaded into the frame called "Text"
- lookup.htm - this is the main page for linking to the VLC online dictionary and is located in the VLC root directory.
