Looking-up Words in the Net Dictionary |
If you have an internet connection you can look-up a word in the VLC Net Dictionary. There are several ways you can do this.
You can use the
Options Menu, click the Toolbar Button
for this
purpose, select from the Clues Window Menu
or use the Browser Window itself.

Selecting this function brings up first a Look-up Dialog in which you specify the word to look-up. The function the opens the Browser Window and displays the entries for the specified word in the VLC Net Dictionary. If you use the Clues Window Menu function you must choose the word by clicking the mouse on the word you want from the words displayed in the Clues Window. The word is shown in YELLOW with a RED background.

After you have selected the word and clicked Lookup in Net Dictionary in the Clues Window, the entries for the word will be displayed in the Browser Window as in Figure 10.
