This VLC eBook program can be downloaded and installed on your PC. After it has been installed the Pictorial Idioms program can be run from your desktop and opens with a simple dialog window as shown below. If you prefer you can study all the Pictorial Idioms from the VLC website by using the Idiom Browser instead.

The program opens with a simple dialog window that looks like this:

Clicking the mouse on the picture opens the Pictorial Idioms help file which appears as below:

Why use a desktop version?

The advantage of using this program is that it runs the VLC Pictorial Idioms from your desktop without any internet connection. The program can then be easily used at any time either for study or reference purposes.

All the files have been compiled into one CHM file which is installed on your PC, with both a Windows tree contents table (as shown above) and a customized index of idioms as shown below.  This makes for easy navigation and viewing.

The explanatory files are also Active Dictionary pages and if you run the program with internet connection words can be looked up in the Net Dictionary by double-clicking the mouse on the word:
