ClozeMaker Tutorial Step 1: Sample text

To create a test using your own text, you need to first display the text in a text editor window such as Notepad or MS Word. You will then copy it and paste it into the ClozeMaker text window, which looks like the one below.

The text window below already contains the sample text for this tutorial and we can imagine that this represents your own text displayed in Notepad. Normally you will use menu or mouse buttons to copy and paste text from . For this tutorial you will need to copy the text first by block selecting it with the mouse or arrow keys (hold down the shift key and use the down arrow to select), and copy the text either by using the browser Edit menu function, or press ctrl / insert keys (or ctrl / C) to copy the highlighted text.

The guitar has a long history. The Ancient Egyptians played simple stringed instruments, and the Greeks and Romans also made music by plucking strings with their fingers. The first true guitar music came during the 15th century in Spain. At first it was an instrument for poor people and travelling musicians, but soon rich people all over Europe were learning to play the guitar. The guitar travelled far and fast, and when Cortes reached Mexico in the 16th century he had a guitar player with his soldiers. A century later, the guitar was being played all over South America. The Spanish Americans made some changes to the instrument and developed their own style of playing. In North America new kinds of music, jazz and popular music especially, led to new kinds of guitar. In the modern world there are 4 main types of guitar: the classical, the flamenco, the steel stringed and electric guitars.
