Tip: To get some idea of the strengths as well as the weaknesses of speech engines and how they work try some phrases like "What leads a rebel to rebel?"; "Why do rebels rebel?"; and "They refuse to throw out the refuse."
You can try the different voices in the Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice speech engine for SAPI 4. The American Male voices are good, but the female voices are not as good as the SAPI 5 voices.
NOTE: If you want to try several different examples make sure that you have your browser set to check for new versions of the document each time it is loaded. Otherwise you may get an old copy each time from the cache.
You can also try the TTS Dialog Wizard for generating HTML dialogs.
